Former Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has announced his retirement from football at the age of 40. The American who previously played for Manchester United played his final game for Colorado Rapids. He had 121 caps for the USA National team which included two World Cup tournaments.
During his three years at Manchester United, he played 339 Premier League games and won the League Cup as well as the FA Cup. He further spent 10 years at Everton after joining on loan from the Old Trafford side in 2006 where he made 413 appearances in all competitions.
