Michel Platini, the former UEFA president who was arrested by the French Police yesterday has been released after questioning.
The 63-year old was arrested concerning the alleged corruption towards awarding Qatar the rights to host the 2022 world Cup.
The Frenchman denied any wrongdoing in the process of investigation at the Anti-Corruption Office of the Judicial Police where he was questioned for 15 hours before being released at the early hours of Wednesday.
Platini claimed he has always been transparent and he feels foreign towards any of the charges presented against him.
It remains to be seen where this new development will lead.
