Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer to win the Wimbledon men single final.
The Serbian defeated Federer 7-6 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-4) 4-6 13-12 (7-3) in a match that took up to 4 hours and 55 minutes, the longest Wimbledon final ever.
Djokovic practically saved two championship points to win his fifth Wimbledon title in what was his 16th Grand Slam.
He is now two Grand Slams titles away from leveling up with Rafael Nadal who has 18 Grand Slams and four away from Federer himself who has 20 Grand Slams.
Federer, the 37-year old was on the brink of winning his 21st Grand Slam and his ninth Wimbledon title but the Swiss was stopped by Djokovic and will have to wait until the US Open next month to have a chance to achieve that feet.
