Latest news in the football world this afternoon Sunday November 3, 2019
Arsenal may consider making a move for former Manchester United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho if they finally sack Unai Emery who has been poor so far this season. According to reports, Mourinho has already held a meeting with the Gunners’ head of football Raul Sanllehi and could be a possible replacement for Emery.
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly after Juventus full-back Mattia De Sciglio as they look to sell Layvin Kurzawa from the club. Kurzawa has been out of favour at the French giant for while with manager Thomas Tuchel preferring centre-back Abdou Diallo to him in the left-back position as seen in their 2-1 defeat to Dijon last Friday. He’s set to be forced out of the club and be replaced by De Sciglio who is a versatile Italian.
Wolverhampton are interested in signing Ben Davies from Preston. Davies who is a centre-back has attracted interest from several Premier League sides that have sent scouts to watch him but Wolves are reportedly in forefront for his signing and due to the injury sustained by Willy Boly, the need for a new centre-back, perhaps Ben Davies is imminent.
MK Dons have appointed former Norwich defender Russell Martin as their manager.
German side Hannover have sacked Mirko Slomka from their managerial position after poor performance which has seen them reach 13th on the table so far this season.
Paris Saint-Germain star Marquinhos is set to be offered a new deal at the club despite his current contract coming to an end in 2022.
