According to the rulebook of Grand Slam, the Serbian was disqualified and he will lose all the ranking points he earned at the tournament. He will also be fined the prize money that will an awarded at the tournament and all fines levied towards the incident.
His opponent Carreno Busta will now play against Denis Shapovalov in the quarter-final.
