Wolverhampton defeated Manchester City at the Etihad stadium by 2-0 with a brace from Adama Traore. This has put Pep Guardiola’s side eight point adrift table leaders Liverpool who stand on 24 points. City have 16 points so far, just one point above third placed Arsenal. Wolverhampton moved to 11th on the table with 10 points.
Chelsea thrashed Southampton 4-1 away from home thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi. Frank Lampard’s side have now moved to fifth on the table with 14 points behind Leicester who also have 14 points but with a better goal difference. Southampton are 16th with seven points.
Arsenal secure a narrow 1-0 win over Bournemouth at home thanks to a lone goal from defender David Luiz. This moved the Gunners to third on the table with 15 points as we move into international break. Bournemouth are however 10th on the table with 11 points.
