Germany legend Bastian Schweinsteiger has announced his retirement from football at the age of 35. He had 121 caps for his national team between 2004 and 2016 playing seven major tournaments where he won the World Cup in 2014.
Schweinsteiger during his time at Bayern Munich made 500 appearances with eight Bundesliga titles and one Champions League. He further played for Manchester United after joining the Old Trafford side in 2015.
