A wonderful morning to all our readers out there, it’s time to check out the results of the football matches played yesterday Tuesday August 11, 2020
Sevilla condemned Wolverhampton to a 1-0 defeat in the quarterfinals of the Europa League as the Premier League side crashed out. Lucas Ocampos scored the only goal of the match with only a few minutes to go, converting an Ever Banega’s cross.
Wolves were supposed to have scored through Raul Jimenez but the Mexican could not convert his poor penalty in the early minutes of the first-half after Adama Traore was brought down in the box.
It was a poor outing from Wolves but generally, they’ve had a very good season, though they will not be playing any European competition next season.
Sevilla set up a semifinal match against Manchester United who defeated Copenhagen yesterday. The match will hold on Sunday.
At the other end, Shakhtar Donetsk thrashed Basel 4-1 to book a place in the semifinals against Inter Milan.
Junior Moraes, Taison, Alan Patrick, and Dodo all scored for the Ukrainian side before Ricky van Wolfswinkel got a consolation goal in the dying minute.
Shakhtar set up a semifinal match against Inter Milan next week Monday.
