Good evening to all our readers out there, it’s time to check out the latest news in the football world this evening Monday May 25, 2020

Women’s football season has been brought to an end following announcement by the FA. This action was taken due to the ongoing pandemic that has caused a lot of havoc to lives all over the world. Both the Women’s Super League and the Women’s Championship season will no longer continue this season and energy will be dissipated to prepare towards next season.

It has however yet to be decided how the WSL season will end with Manchester City women top of the table with 40 points, Chelsea second with 39 points but with one game in hand. Arsenal sit third with 36 points also with a game in hand. If point per match ratio is used, perhaps, Chelsea women will be crowned champions.

According to reports, Chelsea have never considered allowing goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to leave the club despite speculations that La Liga club Valencia are after him.

Arsenal have reportedly begun to draw their transfer plans for the summer.

Arsenal have been reported to have begun transfer plans for this summer

Reports have it that Manchester City are ready to sign Nelson Semedo from Barcelona but not in a swap deal with Joao Cancelo. The Etihad side may decide to drop their interest.

According to reports, Real Madrid may demand that Erling Haaland is included in Borussia Dortmund’s interest for Achraf Hakimi who has been at the German side on loan for a long time. Hakimi is supposed to get back to Santiago Bernabeu this summer but Dortmund are willing to sign him permanently having performed so well for them. Madrid who are however interested in signing Haaland may yield to sell Hakimi if only Dortmund will allow Haaland in a swap deal. Haaland signed for Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg in January.

Manchester United have added Bournemouth duo David Brooks and Josh King to their transfer list.

It has been reported that Odion Ighalo’s future at Manchester United is over after Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua rejected the Old Trafford side’s demand to extend his deal. The Chinese Super League is set to begin and they would like the striker to begin preparations with them. It would take a miracle for Ighalo to remain at the Premier League side beyond this week.

According to reports, Barcelona have shifted their priorities from Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar and they’ve placed their eyes in signing alternatives in Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez even though that one is also proving very difficult.

Arsenal are reportedly confident they will sign free agent Ryan Fraser who is set to leave Bournemouth this summer. The 26-year-old has been attracting interest from Tottenham, it’s going to be a lock horn between the two North London sides.
