Toulouse and Amiens got relegated while Lyon miss out on European football after being seventh on the table. There were normally 10 matches to be played and Lyon have revealed they will try to appeal in court Ligue 1’s decision to end the season.
Players in the Premier League will be asked to always use face mask when they return to training. This is one of the precautions they have put in place to avoid the possibility of spreading the virus even as they plan to resume the season.
Bundesliga have been told to wait until May 6 before decision about the resumption of the season can be made. So far, 6, 300 people have died of the virus in Germany from about 160k confirmed cases.
Reports have claimed that the Premier League will not force any player to return to action. They will reportedly give the option to anyone who feels too dangerous to risk participating in the remainder of the season.
Premier League clubs are prepared to start a ‘Project Restart’ with the proposals to be made on Friday and plans to resume by June 8.
