A wonderful morning to you all as we check out the results of the football matches played yesterday Sunday October 27, 2019
Liverpool maintain their Premier League unbeaten run thanks to a 2-1 home victory over Tottenham. The Anfield side had to come back from a goal down after Harry Kane gave the Spurs the early one-minute lead.
Jordan Henderson scored the equaliser in the early stages of the second-half before Mohamed Salah scored the winner from the penalty spot after Sadio Mane was allegedly brought down in the box.
Liverpool maintain their Premier League unbeaten run and they are now on 28 points, six points above second Manchester City.
Tottenham meanwhile who are with 12 points in 11th position had goalkeeper Paul Gazzaniga to thank who made 12 different saves to keep the scoreline that low. That was the most save by a goalkeeper in a Premier League game since David De Gea who made 14 against Arsenal in December 2017.
Lackluster Arsenal surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Crystal Palace. Defensive duo Sokratis and David Luiz gave the Gunners the early lead before Crystal Palace equalised through a first-half penalty and a Jordan Ayew simple finish in the second-half.
The Gunners scored the third through Sokratis late in the match but it was ruled out controversially by VAR. They now have 16 points still on fifth position while Palace are sixth with 15 points.
Manchester United won their first Premier League away match for the first time since their 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace in February after beating Norwich 3-1 thanks to goals from Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
The match had a lot of drama after Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul saved two different penalties from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. That was the first time two penalties will be saved in a single Premier League match since Maarten Stekelenburg for Everton against Manchester City in October 2016.
United moved to seventh on the table with 13 points while Norwich are 19th with 7 points.
