Good morning to all our readers out there, it’s the time of the day to check out the latest news in the world of sports today Thursday May 28, 2020
Starting with the matches played in Bundesliga yesterday…
RB Leipzig missed out on the opportunity to move to second on the table after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Hertha Berlin thanks to a late equaliser by Krzysztof Piatek from the penalty spot.
It was a night of absolute drama with 10-man Leipzig bottling the opportunity to seemingly progress in their race for Champions League football and a faint hope to fight for the league. Hertha Berlin scored first through Marko Grujic before Leipzig equalised from Lukas Klostermann.
In the second half, Marcel Halstenberg was sent off for Leipzig after receiving two yellow cards but they still took the lead five minutes later by capitalising on a goalkeeper error as Patrik Schick scored what was supposed to be the winner. It was however not meant to be a perfect night after Ademola Lookman brought down Matheus Cunha for Piatek to equalise in the 82nd minute.

Leipzig are still third with 55 points, Hertha Berlin are 10th with 35 points.
Schalke 04 lost again, becoming the only side without any point since the restart of Bundesliga. Three matches have been played and they lost again but this time around to Fortuna Dusseldorf.
